It is not a rumor. There will be one more series.
Some people get confused that there’ll be a Generation Four.. NO. No new generation, there won’t be a brand new cast, what the writers are planning to do is bring some of the cast back for one finale series.
Yes, that means some people from Generation One and Two are coming back! It’s for certain Jack O’Connell and Kaya Scodelario will come back but, no Nicholas Hoult, due to his busy schedule. Larissa Wilson will not be returning back as Jal, Mike Bailey as Sid, Joe Dempsie who plays Chris Miles, and Klariza who plays Freddie’s sister, Karen, won’t come back. Also not returning is Sebastain De Souza as Matty, Freya Mavor as Mini, and the rest of Generation Three will not be apart of it in any way. Ollie Barbieri has supposedly stated he hasn’t been asked to come back, Luke who plays Freddie will also not be coming back.
Hannah Murray, Jack O’Connell and Kaya Scodelario will return to Skins for its final series. This will be comprised of three stories - each divided into two one-hour episodes - titled “Skins Pure”, “Skins Rise” and “Skins Fire”.
Skins Pure - Cassie, who will be seen “adrift, alone and invisible in London”, ultimately forming a poignant friendship with a mysterious stranger.
Skins Rise - focusing on Cook, as the tearaway is forced to confront his own violent past while working as a drug peddler in Manchester.
Skins Fire - we’ll see Effy living with Naomi and working a dead-end job as a receptionist, until a tragedy forces her to re-evaluate her life. Emily will also be appearing.
There has been no word about any of the characters interacting, except of course for Effy, Naomi and Emily is Skins: Fire.
